The Model
Volkswagen CorradoA coupé that became a classic.
Presented in 1988 and positioned above the Scirocco II, the Volkswagen Corrado was a compact sports coupé built by Karmann in Osnabrück. It combined everyday usability with distinctive engineering, including its automatically extending rear spoiler and, later, the unmistakable character of the VR6 engine.

Volkswagen Corrado unveiled as a compact sports coupé positioned above the Scirocco II.
- G60
Early performance identity shaped by the supercharged G60 engine producing 160 PS.
- 1991
The 2.9-litre six-cylinder VR6 joins the range in Europe, bringing 190 PS and a redesigned front end.
- 120 KM/H
The active rear spoiler automatically extends at higher speed — one of the Corrado's defining details.
- 1995
Production ends after approximately 98,000 cars have been built.
